Server Status January 15 2009

Hi everyone,
We experienced issues between 6am to 8:30am EST. The problem has been fixed and everything is back to normal.
My apologies for any trouble this caused.

Likewise.
We really need some sort of email notify when the service is down. Relying on RSS feeds etc isnt really useful.

Sorry for any trouble this caused. We experienced a downtime between roughly 6:15am to 7:45am EST. The problem has been fixed and I posted on our blog here: http://webbasedcron.wordpress.com/2009/03/16/server-status-march-16.
The RSS feeds are meant to give information about the state of your cron jobs, not WebBasedCron.

Hi.
Thanks for the update.
I appreciate the RSS feeds are for my jobs, but thats the only way to effectively monitor whether wbc.com and my site CRON tasks are running.
There used to be mails on success or fail which – although cumbersome for your sys – were a reliable way to check if things were working.
Anyway, I appreciate the wbc site and am pleased its back up.
Could you perhaps implement a status page, RSS feed or email alert to let us know when wbc is down?

I agree with you a way to tell people server status is important. I’ll definitely create a status page, I’ll have this up within a week.
